Re: Synchrony just stinks

Jbsilva, great point and it does happen to many of us in heat of moment. Best we can do is learn and move on. Im human i continue to make mistakes especially in credit. I have lenders who dont want to touch me with a 10 foot pole, ie Penfed, but i just look for the ones who'll touch me with a 5 foot one instead, ie NavySmiley Wink.

Synchrony does bite some people. Sorry to hear about the issues with them.

I remain a fan of Synchrony and use my Lowe's and Amazon cards with some regularity. My Nissan card gets occasional use and my Marvel rarely gets used now that I get 4% dining on my Uber card.

Many other cards in the market. Personally it feels like banks continuing to reduce their risk and exposure.

I think I read somewhere that lenders are tightening up a bit due to an increase in charge-offs and repos? It may have been here or in a news feed.

Re: Synchrony just stinks

This is just another lesson on my journey to stellar credit. As I just had requested a CLI and got it, I figured I was good for a bit. I guess it just made me feel like the game is stacked against us as consumers. If this had no effect on my utilization percentages, it wouldn't have been a big deal. But, I just made a big purchase on a zero percent promo, so I'm getting hit on both ends of that ratio. Live and learn, I guess.
