I'm still relatively new to CC and am wondering about how the reporting to CRAs work. Specifically, how soon before or after the statement date, do they report to the CRAs? I have a Sam's Club Credit card and DW has the JCP card, both within the last two months.
Ideally, I'd like to use the cards (especially Sam's) but pay them down to a minimum amount before reporting. I found a thread from early last year suggesting Synch may report multiple times/month. Anyone have updated information?

From my experience 3-5 days after the statement cuts for that month. My Amazon Store Card (Synchrony) cuts on the 3rd and reports on the 9th.
Thanks for the info. I want to wait a few months before calling for a CLI but I've seen tons of threads where others have had success right away. 500 SL isn't bad but I can typically buy $100 groceries, etc. at Sams's or WM pretty quick so suddenly I'm already at 20% util. Wouldn't mind having some breathing room just for score reporting purposes, maybe 1k.
Synchrony in particular can and does report off-cycle at times you may not expect, such as when you just made a $600 purchase and were expecting it not to report until the "normal" reporting date (when you planned to pay it down to zero), yet Synchrony mysteriously reports it to the bureaus 3 days after the purchase.
It's good to be aware that Synchrony does this from time to time, and it can be difficult to predict.
