I received a mailer today about the TD Bank cash credit card (prequalified not pre-approved). The offer is $200 cash back with a $500 spend in 90 days, 2% dining and 1% everything else. Does anyone have this card do you like it, what bureau did they pull, how are the starting limits, FICO score at approval, anyone recon if not initially approved?
I applied a few months ago when I got the mailer. I received a SL of $5000. Looks like they pulled Experian. Spent $500 on some football tickets, $200 back, awesome deal. Site is a little clunky and is not connected with general TD site or app. Maybe it is for people with a bank account, IDK. Credit came in immediately with first statement. Have not used the card since that one purchase.

Thanks for the feedback

I have it, I took the 200 dollar bribe. I no longer use it though as it is only 1% cash back. The 200 dollars was nice though.

In my case they pulled EX & rejected me. My scores were around 700 at the time.
The consensus in the MyFICO forum is that it's a mediocre card.

Agree...mediocre card, but 200 dollars is a nice bribe for a sock drawer card. Pay me 250, and I'll do it again...inflation says the next one should pay more. Any issuers wishing to find a spot for their card in my sock drawer PM me the details.

That made me laugh. Pay me another $200 and I'll do it again. They keep sendning me mailers- been for months. I have a lot of money with TD. Wonder if that would help my chances of getting a big line. Prob not. Heard they're stingy like they're interests rates. I have accounts with Ally with 1% but it freaks me out using a web bank for large amounts.

I hope they can never read minds...I get offers like this, and I'm thinking...suckers. This is the kind of card that is...extract the bonus..collect lint from sock drawer kind of card. It came with an APR, what was it..who cares? I feel like negotiating that, saying add an extra 100 to that bonus, and you can make that APR 120%. I'm gonna PIF any way. I knew this was a sock drawer card when I took the offer. I might have charged 550 on that card. I'll repeat CC issuers...call me...I can be bribed, really I can. Don't you desire a coveted spot in my sock drawer reserved for your plastic? I'm yo huckleberry!

Since the card is SD'd now that you have received the bonus, j/c what is the long-term outlook that you see, for the card? For example, will you keep it in the SD and open indefinitely? Or plan to close it, somewhere down the line, etc.?
Former cards:DMB Titanium MC @ 90-day, 0% grace period | $4k BEFCU MC @ 5.49% F | $21.9k Citi DPR @ 5.99% F | Chase Platinum MC @ Prime+1.67% |

You just have to be careful about opportunity costs, e.g. if you do this too often, you will exceed 5/24 and thus would not be able to get the Chase CSR, which is potentially much more valuable than several $200 bonus offers. And in general, "too many new accounts" (or inqs) could block you from another super card. But in moderation, yes
