Finally after 2 years I got an CLI from Target from $200 to $1000. Maybe it was the Walmart showing up on my report for $1200, but who cares by any means necessary.

Was it a automatic increase?
Congratulations,
How did you learn about it? Was it on your statement or their website? I just ask, because I received my statement yesterday - and no increase. I had read somewhere on these boards about almost being punished for paying off their card. I had a very small credit limit (200) and just paid it off and didn't use it for a couple of months. Someone said that their C.S. said you are not documenting paying every month this way??

I also recieved a cli from Target to $1000.00 today. I would check your Target account on-line
I checked on-line today and I also received a CLI of 500.00 now I'm up to 1,000.00 CL
There was a news article about Target credit cards recently. Target is trying to attract more customers to shop there. One strategy they are using is offering credit card discounts if you use the Target store card. They are offering I believe 10-20% discounts on merchandise if bought with the card. I neither have this card nor shop there so someone will have to post what the actual discount is.
According to the article at one point they were losing revenue because of credit card default and I assume that more customers are now able to pay their bills so they are initiating this new sales strategy.
This is just interesting stuff.
I think that it would be worth the discount if you shop there but only if you PIF- I'm not sure what the APR's are on this card but I'm sure its pretty high.
I checked my account after reading the messages and I have been given a increase from $1000 to $1500.
Just checked my 4 accounts and they are all still the same:
$200
$300
$200
$1000 this was increased last year.
I am however currently carrying a balance on all four accounts, so I will watch out next statement... sounds like they are doing another blanket increase on accounts that somehow fall into some category that only Target knows!
This is an artcicle that I found on the internet regarding target. They are offereing a 5 percent discount on all debit and target cards beggining in the fall.
