That is the funniest thing I've read in a long time. I literally laughed out loud when I read it...75 Days! That's insane! lol

Then i let it sit for couple months, then used it for $295, paid in full, statement cut off couple days ago, and called in today to ask for cli. What the rep told blew me off!
He asked if my income was updated on the website, i said yes i did update it right after i registered my card. He said ok i am submitting your request for review and you will hear back from us in about.... Wait For It.... 75 days.... Yes 75 DAYS!!!! So here i am driving and thingking why would someone say 7 TO 5 days instead of 5 TO 7... I asked him again, he said Yes 75 days.. So you mean Seven-Five, i mean you mean 2 and a half months i will wait? He said yes. All i could say at that moment was thanks, and hung up. So now i am seriously thinking if i should keep the card, or just close it, especially since the approval i got some nice cards.

Wow sorry to hear that OP. This is exactly why I decided against the RC CC and instead just went with the Target Debit card. Same exact benefits. I didn't want to risk getting stuck with toy limits when it wasn't necessary.

That is an interesting timeline to project when the CLI might be approved. The 6th statement theory seems like a good possible explanation.
From what I read here, Target does not seem to be rushed when it comes to granting CLI. So, we do have to deal with the CCC on their terms. With your recent history only 4 months on the card, it may take a few more months for them to like the payment pattern. If the card stays in the SD, however, it's not sending a signal that they need to raise the limit. A few more months of maxing and PIF should help, but I don't have direct experience and would not want to try to guarantee any CLI.
Maybe the next time you are going to over-charge the $300, go through the customer service check out desk? Then they will see you are buying more than your limit, and then you mention to them that you'd really like a higher limit. Maybe nothing comes of that conversation, but then again, maybe it helps.

Well, I don't mean to be a Debbie-Downer but I have had my Target card for over a decade and I am still at a $200 credit limit. I definitely understand your frustration. I can't even pass by a Target without rolling my eyes. I only keep it open for the age of the account. After so many years with the embarrasing credit limit, I've decided to use it once every 6 months just to keep it open.
Wow....My Redcard started with a $200 limit and at 4 months, I got a Auto CLI to $500. I didn't have to ask for anything.
I requested a CLI on my $300 card, oh, about 5 months ago (had the card since 2013), I just got an increase this month from $300 to $600.. Yes it took that long to get an increase. I don't want even $5k, but say $1k would be good, but I guess they just aren't interested in helping cardholders with utilization
Wow, I have never heard of it taking 75 days for a CLI! That is ridiculous , really. Why do you waste your time with this card and risk impacting your utilization? You must pay it off monthly so your credit score remains in tact and if that is what your doing, why not get the debit card. You will then get 5% off as well. I wouldn't waste a HP for Target, I rather get a bank card I can use everywhere.
When I tried a month or so ago, they told me you have to update your income info on the website and wait the 75 days. There is no manual review for a CLI. It's computer automated. That's why it takes so long. They have to force through 2 billing statements to cut and all that calculates into your internal score for an auto CLI.
