For those who aren't getting any CLI, are you regularly using the card?
Well I'm a recepient of the Target auto luv!!! I got my card in March 2014 with a $300 CL. In December 2014 I got an auto CLI of $500, bringing my new CL to $800!!! I never requested a thing, go figure.
I max it out every few months..let it post then pay it off..the other months i spend maybe 100 on it but I think maxing it out triggers that increase somehow.
The low limit is the only thing that stops me from applying for a Target Visa... I very, very rarely make a purchase under $100 and shop there 2-3 times a week. (I use them as my grocer a lot of the time too since they're so close to my house.)
I wish my Target Debit would report to credit agencies!

I've had a similar experience. I've had the card for a little over a year and had 2 auto CLIs. First from $500 to $900, then again from $900 to $1,100. I use it almost weekly, and I always PIF. The most I put on my Target REDcard in a month is ~$500.
Never requested a CLI. Probably won't any time soon.

Now, that may be for people doing it excessively, but it sounds like Target is going to disallow CC loads in the future with Redbird so that may not be a long term solution.
I just use the debit redcard; then I don't have to care about CLIs. Works fine and you get the same 5% as the credit version.
I must admit I never understand the people worrying about the Target CC or using Sallie and hoping they get 5% by coding correctly. Why would you not just get the debit? Guaranteed 5%, no worries about coding, no pull, no CLI....not many stores make it so simple to get 5%, yet people agnoize about Sallie coding correctly for Target or in this case, getting a CLI on their measly Target CC limit. I dunno, to me it's just like, why not just use the debit? You get the same exact benefit. Make life easier for yourself!
Well, I think "Don't believe all you read": is needed there, as there was a strong belief that that was a hoax. Even if that happens, it can still be used as a debit card (less conveniently, but can be used anywhere that takes Amex). People tend not to like debit cards because it exposes your bank account to mischief, loading a prepaid avoids that issue.
However, the Redbird thing is seemingly coming to an end soon, as far as CC loads
You know, in the last two months that I've been providing/selling the REDcard online (for people who can't find it at their local Target stores) some sceptics keep saying the credit card loading days of the Redbird (REDcard) are numbered. In the meantime hundreds of people who purchased this from me (for sure thousands overall who got it from other people online) are enjoying the very generous $5K/month credit card load limits. Some have multiple Redbird accounts that use...I have 3 (the other 2 on family's names) but I know some bloggers have many more.
Sure one day we might not be able to laod the Redbird as much (or at all) with a credit card, but until then the miles/points/cash would have surely stacked up ![]()
I know I'm resurrecting an old thread, but I just today noticed an 'alert' on my RedCard page... something to the effect of if you want to be considered for a montly review, update your information here... and of course it was looking for income. so we shall see if that trips any triggers.
My RedCard history: First card I obtained during my rebuilding process. Started with a 200 limit, 30 days later they bumped it to 1k. This was in 2007. No movement since. I use it weekly, pay in full always - and just added my daughter as an AU.
nothing ventured,nothing gained, right?
