Target Redcard (MC) Max limit

Like many of you,  I was curious to know what is the max limit is on the Target Redcard MC from TD Bank.

I had sent in my question via email.   They replied that I needed to call.

I called and per the CSR, the maximum limit is $20,000.

Let the comments/snickering begin.

Looks like I still have some wiggle room 👻  I guess I never asked because I figured at some point they would top out.

Re: Target Redcard (MC) Max limit

That's a lot of stuff from Target.

I am not 100% certain but that may be a TD thing as I heard when they took over my Nordstrom Visa that $20,000 was the highest it was going to go so I stopped asking but this was "I think" about 6 years ago when the card transitioned to TD

Nordstrom Visa can definitely go higher. I believe you can still get it to $25K via SP.  Anything above $25K will require POI/TRs, IIRC. Mines $55K and it's been like that for a few years. I know of a couple individuals whose CLs are ~$100K on their Nordstrom Icon Visa CCs 😜

Target 🤔 $20,000. Does anyone on here have close to a $20,000 limit?

Thanks for that!  I didn't know....

My card was $20K when they took it over and I remember calling when the transitioned happened...again, this was a while back...and thought that was as far as I was going to go.  I've got a phone call to make......

Mine took 19 years to grow from $1200 to $11,300.  Guessing I might possibly hit that $20,000 cap somewhere around 2040?  Smiley Frustrated

Re: Target Redcard (MC) Max limit

When my target card got converted to the Target Mastercard, I was given a $15K limit that hasn't moved since.  So 75% of the way to the 20k max.  I have a pretty thick and clean file though--my credit history began with my Amex Green in 1987.

That's a nice limit.  When mine got converted to a Visa around 2005, they actually gave me a credit line decrease from $1200 to $800 and it didn't move from there until 2016.  LOL  I've never had any lates or chargeoffs or collections, so the CLD was kind of odd - but it was a new lender (I think TD is the 4th lender since I originally got the card).
