Re: Target Redcard / MC Poll

I got the same letter...once I found out it wasn't a new trade line I figured it was fine to just have it convert.  I'm curious why those declined the conversion did so... what would be the drawback?

The only reason I have seen stated by the handful of people who have declined the upgrade is that they don't want a card (or an additional card) that can be used outside of Target because they don't feel that they have the self-discipline to keep their charges under control.

Re: Target Redcard / MC Poll

RedCard was given a CLI from $1900 to $4000

No CLI once converted to MC. Still at $4000

Reports as same account

Only just converted, so no answer yet about additional CLIs

Re: Target Redcard / MC Poll

I can't remember but I think my cli was 1,700 to 3,000. When I received my letter for the upgrade. I'm currently still waiting for my card in the mail.

It seems like they're giving increases with the upgrades.

I believe people refusing to convert to MC is because they don't plan to use it for purchase outside of the store. And they don't want to be tempted to.
