Temporary score drop - Should I let Amex know it's resolved?

I had an invalid charge off pop up on my credit reports on October 29th. Experian FICO 8 dropped 30 points down to 683 Smiley Sad

I see that Amex did their latest soft-pull report review on November 8th, by then my score recovered to 700 (had a ugly derog age off). This was the first SP on Experian from them since I opened the account on June 1st.

I got a hold of the creditor for the updated charge off yesterday, they verified that it was totally incorrect and fixed it while I was on the phone! Today my score's back to a healthy 729 Smiley Very Happy

I should I call and let them know that the charge-off was in error & it's been correct? Terrfied that they're drafting my AA notification.

You're fine. Worst thing you can do is draw unnecessary attention.

Score drops do and can happen, 30 points is far from end of the world

Besides, most likely Amex would do multiple SPs if they were concerned.

It's going to be okay, and even if something happened, you could call at that time and let them know it was an error.

Based on experience of others, they tend to be fairly reasonable.

Agreed, you should be okay. If your score started trending downward and *staying* there, then they might be more concerned.

Hopefully they'll review it again next month, I've been working towards apping for the Cash Magnet at the end of the year.
