After burning AmEx in 2012 with a BK7, I have been checking their pre-qualify link to see what comes up and today I see the BCE, Green Card, and Delta Blue. So it might be worth a shot at them since I haven't had an offer pop up until now.
With scores at 690-705 with DTI at 50%+, should I take that shot? I mean, I haven't had any apps this year and my last account opening was March 2019 with USAA

I personally would work on getting down your DTI or utilizatoin vs. obtaining new credit with amex at the moment. Just my advise on how amex would see you after burning them once in the past and the current lending environment due to cv-19 and with your high side DTI

Yea and the worst part is that the credit reports haven't caught up to my payments yet either so it will be closer to the upper 30%.

I agree, I would wait until UTL was lower and all 3 scores up in the low 700's at least. With saying that, I still say good luck if you do decide to pull the trigger, let us know what the outcome is.

yea, I really wanna get it to the 30% and under before I really go after either AmEx, Apple Card, PenFed, or AOD.

Too soon for you to be tempted. Keep working on DTI, utilization, and credit score. Also, let more time pass.

Thanks for the honest feedback and for keeping me grounded in gardening!

Adding a card to your portfolio isn't a bad move going into the holidays as it can be easy to hit a SUB.
The question that I would have is does adding the card also in addition to that fat SUB make your overall earning profile stronger? I'd be real hesitant to add anything that isn't an earning improvement. I'm having a difficult time identifying cards that could help my portfolio at this point.
My overall opinion of AMEX MR is they are better than earning any type of individual airline currency. I was in the airline dining clubs but I transferred over to Rakuten dining to pick up MRs through there. URs are better as an everyday driver since each point functions as straight cash back. AMEX is better shopping bonuses and offers.
