Just wanted to thank everyone that took the time to post on the forum and all the good information given. I am one year (may 1, 2007) post discharge from chapter 7 bankruptcy. When I discovered this web site in late March, I followed the instructions and cleaned up my 3 credit reports. I had an average of 70 point improvement in all three  bureaus. Once the scores improved, I applied for and received a WAMU card with a 5,500 dollar cl and a Hooters Mastercard with an 8,000  dollar cl. Prior to this I had a First Premier Card with 400 dollar cl and a HSBC card with a 600 dollar cl. Just last week, I was able to get a new car lone with a  7.6 APR from Chase. Hopefully in a year, I will be in a position to purchase another home.   Thanks everyone!!

congrats bc.  i have to give thanks to this site as well!!!  i never knew anything about how the credit score worked.  i have a newly opened wamu card, and followed the link here.  my son is starting at Penn State this summer, and thought i better check out my credit since i will be signing for some of his education loans.  i didnt know any about util.  so of course i was at about 83% when i started my free trial.  with the 2 cap one cli of $1000 each and the addition of my care credit account $4000 my util is down to 63% soon to be 48%.  just got alert jumped 16 points.  woooo  hoooo.  very excited!!!

ex 629 to 641     not updated yet but 12 points so far      

eq 647 to 677        30 points

got one baddie settled for less dropping 9/08. baddie was mbna now boa, guess they won't be knocking down my door.  4 lates from vaction club from 4/06 and 2005, working on gw.  then clean credit from there.    you guys rock!!!!
