I thought the non-sig/non-world versions would be the Thank You card, otherwise not sure of the difference between them!  Not that there is much difference between them anyway, but the TYP has things like no preset limit etc, which usually comes with the sig/world.

+1

I was approved for the TYP as a Visa Signature in July, and it is NPSL.  AFAIK, the WMC is more commonly issued than the Visa Signature for hgher CLs.

Grats!

If I'm not wrong it comes as a world MasterCard by default, and you can ask for the card to be upgraded to world elite MasterCard as well.

enharu, could I trouble you to PM me a number where I can call to speak to someone about the upgrade option to the WE?

Also can someone list the perks between the WMC vs WE?

Re: The ThankYou® Preferred Card, quick question

It comes in Visa Signature, but for some reason they don't pt the Singature logo on the card. My mom and I have limits well above 5000 and have the hideous white Visa logo with no Signature under it. I contacted them and they said it's a Signature in their system, but they don't put it on the card.

I received a pre-selected offer, even the envelope had the World Mastercard logo, and the letter at the bottom had the MC logo.

When I applied, the option was selected to MC by default after entering the invitation number.

Re: The ThankYou® Preferred Card, quick question

@icewolf, you can find the full list of perks on MC website. The differences are now somewhat blurred as MasterCard and some issuers move WEMC benefits into WMC. Most people end up not using any visa / MasterCard benefits, so it doesn't really matter in my opinion. The most used benefit is probably the auto rental coverage, I think.

I also messaged you the number. Hope that helps.
