Hello All,
Recently, I was reading a thread on this site regarding Chase and the results of many after contacting the Executive Office. Over the years I have absorb numerous and priceless advice from you all, and my recent experience is something I would NEVER fathom. I have a Chase Freedom, that is an old WaMu conversion and recently PC to Slate, and finally to Freedom. My CL was 5k w/WaMu, acct. closed by Chase (08' - 09') when they purchased the acct. and re-opened, but CL downgraded to 4200.00. I have had the acct. since 08', with no CL increase.
I called the Executive Office to discuss my account, and the value of the card. I asked the very pleasant lady how can I get more value from the card. I explained that I have paid many of my credit cards off, and would like to learn and experience the benefit of the Freedom Card. She listened, and gave me the "two - three day account review", her name, her phone number w/ext., and with a level of empathy that convinced me their is a different personality on each level. She called me back on Friday, "Sir, I have reviewed your account and noticed that in 09' you had several late charges, which raised your % to 29.95%, you have never been late since 2010. We are going to lower your % back to 13%. (at this point my mount is wide open). She continue and said, I also computed the interest charge from 2010 to the current date and have determined the amount to be $1556.00. We are crediting your account with this amount." I just shook my head, and said you did what! I quickly apologized for my overzealous enthusiasm and acknowledged how pleased and surprised I am . . . Frankly, I am still amazed and extremely excited.

I have found this to be so true. Last year when we went into our local branch and dealt with one of the young people who work behind the counter --- as opposed to this year when we spoke to the branch manager --- made ALL the difference. AND, when we've e-mailed or called the Executive Office, that was even better yet!!!
Very quickly, we've gone from being really unhappy with Chase to seeing them in a whole new light and being thoroughly amazed with how accomodating and generous they can be. We have actually gone from just being a number to being a real customer and, its very very nice!
I am thrilled for the LUV they've recently shown you.

wow that is rediculous and awesome!! I've been reading a lot of threads on Chase and have been really impressed with them. I think they've really stepped up their game recently, and i dont think its a coincidence. There must be something internal going on. Perhaps the recent $2B+ loss prompted to treat their clients better.
I myself recently talked to the executive office and received a CLI from $750 to $4000 with a SP. All I told them was that I was approved for a Discover for $3500(which wasn't even reporting at the time) and would like Chase to match it or beat it because ultimately they are the bank I want to do business with. The next day I checked my account and saw the huge CLI and my jaws dropped. Keep in mind, I had to twist their arm to give me a CLI from $300 to $750 3 months prior and was told that this is the absolute maximum they can grant me at the time. I've always spoken to the same person so I know its not 1 person being more conservative over the other.
Anyways congrats!!
What was the contact (e-mail or mailing addresses) for the Executive Offices? We recently applied for a Chase Southwest Airlines. They pulled TU with a 700 FAKO at that time. Annual income of $68,500. 23% utilization. No bads on record. THEY DENIED US WHILE CITI APPROVED FOR AN AA CARD WITH $6,000 LIMIT. We want the Southwest card because that's who we fly.
Can you help me out with recommendations for recon and approval? Thanks!
You can call executive if you want, but I found the plain old Chase recon line listed in the sticky to be very helpful. I applied for and was denied the SW Visa back in December. Called the recon line, had a nice talk with an analyst and was approved for the visa signature with 5k limit and the 50k points. You might try calling them first, then using the executive line if that fails.
Wow, what an amazing story. Congrats OP!
I know --- it was amazing to instantly see the balance decrease. The results are much better than a CLI.
Thanks,
