For anyone wondering, it is $60 a year AF ($5/mo) and your "3%" is in points.
Those points are only 3% of your spend if you transfer them into your Robinhood brokerage account.
Your points are paid out at 0.7 cents if you opt for the statement credit. I would not call that a 3% CASH BACK card. It is a 3% REWARDS card.

Well, to be clear, the card has no AF. But, in order to be eligible for the card, you need to be a Robinhood Gold member which costs $60 per year / $5 per month. Or you can pay $50 annually. Gold membership is not without its benefits. A decent (but not astounding) 3.35% HY account for your cash. 3% IRA match (which is actually pretty nice and can easily cover the $50 annual membership fee). Investing perks, etc.
Sending your 3% cash back to a brokerage account is still 3% cash back. If it goes to your HY account, now you're earning interest on your CB.
In fact, if you have your 3% cash back invested into your IRA-matched account, it can easily be argued that the Robinhood Gold card is a 3.09% CB card!!
Lol, your post is the untruth.....
Robinhood gold has nothing to do with just getting a credit card as @ptatohed said.
@ptatohed HYS is now 3.6%, we have gold for our IRA contributions
No interest in their CC though.
Also, once you are gold within RH, you get $1000 in free margin. If you park that into something like SGOV, you can almost make back the entire $50. Stack on the 3% IRA match and you're easily there. The Gold Card is cash back, but it is best utilized by re-investing it in RH's ecosystem. Even if you just dump the cash back into your investment cash account, it's still earning 3.6%. I'm not sure how many other cards offer cash back PLUS are willing to pay interest on that cash.
