Ok, so one of my student loan lenders mistakingly reported one of my loans as being 90 days late. Last week they told me they would correct this with all three of the reporting buearus.
In the mean time, one of my credit card companies reduced my credit limit, from 7000 down to 4000- and I am assuming it is because of the 90 day late that was reported.
Does this mean all of my credit cards lines will be reduced?
Anything I can do to have them bring my credit line back up? - ( speaking about the one that already reduced my line)
THANKS IN ADVANCE!
I would call the specific credit card and ask what the reason for the decrease was. It may or may not be related. If it was due to recent changes in your credit report aka the 90 late, I would explain what happened and then when the 90 day is removed, ask them to reinstate the limit as it wasn't your fault.
It shouldn't effect the other cards unless the other card companies do a soft inquiry on your credit reports between now and when the mistake is corrected.
