Thinking about a mini-app spree

I hit above 700 a few days ago. Yay!

I've been getting nice offers from Discover, Citi and even got Amex "recommendations" yesterday when  I used their card finder page.

According to Scorewatch my score bump might have come from increased speding. I've charged quite a bit to my Cap1, which has no rewards and a 17.99% APR, not bad, but not my lowest APR either. I've been considering Discover's BT offer or possibly Citi.

With a 704 EQ score, what are my chances of being approved and should I do it now or wait to see if there's a rise or dip in my score next week?

What's your AAoAs?  If you plan to do an app spree your 704 EQ score can easily fall back to the 600's when new accounts are added.  You may want to wait another 6-12 months to get the score a bit higher.

I would not apply for anything right now.  Interest rates don't matter since you are going to PIF, right.Smiley Wink  You best bet on any CC, and loan for that mater, is with a local CU.

Whoops I should have been more specific. I was considering the BT offers from Citi and Discover, as my Cap1 APR is 18% and while I can pay more than the minimum,  all the BT offers are 0%. for 12-18 months.  I wish I could PIF, if I could I wouldn't have any problems. Smiley Happy

Edit:

My AAoA is 5 according to the old EQ I pulled. I haven't apped for anything in almost a year.

If you have no baddies - I would certainly believe you will be approve for a Citi, Discover or Chase. I know all 3 generally pull EQ. All 3 lenders don't like alot of IQ so choose wisely base on your needs. I say go for it...just don't get trigger happy Smiley Happy

I pulled my EX and TU reports last night and both are filled with soft inquiries by Citi and Discover and Amex. Below is from EX.

CITI CARDS

Date of Request:
04/05/2011, 02/02/2011, 01/13/2011, 12/14/2010

CITIFINANCIAL

Date of Request:
02/15/2011

On my TU report, Discover pulled three times in March, once in April. They also pulled in January and February.

DISCOVER FINCL SVC LLC

Requested On:
04/2011

I guess this explains all the mailers I've been getting.
