Is that the Amazon store card or the Amazon Visa? If it's the Amazon store card, you should request a CLI since it's backed by GECRB and they are soft CLI's. Do the same for your Walmart card, which is also GECRB. This and paying your balances down will help with your high utilization.

Call their backdoor # aka credit solutions. IMO, it's better to call after hours so you get a rep from overseas. Try now! Smiley Happy

Go for it!! It will be a soft pull, so no big deal if they don't give you a CLI.

Re: Thinking of pulling the trigger for Discover IT

I think this is a sign that points to getting that utilization under control by paying those balances down/off.  The main rule of thumb when it comes to new credit is to manage what you currently have before new TLs are extended.  Often times, if your utilization is high, simply increasing your limits may lead to more spending and without sensible discipline and the income to back it up can only lead to overextension.
