Since I dont know your story (not clear to me), what are your CS and inquiries as of now? And do you have baddies? (If so, what are they?) And what is your Credit Util Rate on your cards?
And if the current limits you have on your CC are 500, chances are you need to focus on your current lines and garden for about a year to give the accounts time to grow. 4 months is not enough time as most creditors want to see a year of stable credit on atleast 2 different lines.
I have about 12 inquiries or less from this year alone and two should be falling off within February and March. No baddies at all.. my accounts are all in good standing I checked. My highest limits are $600, which were auto increases on store cards. I'm waiting till March 1st. The only reason I decided March is because of people on here giving me advice a while ago. My secured card will be a year old in March and all my other accounts till be 7-8 months old in March. As for accounts, I have 3 store cards, 1 secured card and 1 Capital One card.

I waited nearly 3 yrs from getting a secured card (also have another unsecured and store card) before even thinking about Chase or Discover. IMO dont risk HPs for denials / low CLs at this point. As always though, YMMW, and dont be afraid to recon denials if necessary.
I think March 1st will come here beautifully, at least I hope!!

What kind of secured credit card do you have? and is your Cap 1 in the Credit Steps program?
My utizilian is pretty good. Not too high or low, usually under 20%.
I got one from a local bank here and it is a Visa. I would have tried TD Bank for one ( my actual bank) but they wanted $500 and I didn't want to give them that much so I went to another bank and gave them $335 (35 is the annual fee). Yes my Capital One card is.

I would honestly wait a year until after the CU hits a year (so you have two cards with over a year of history) But if not:
You can wait until March to ask EO for CLI and have your Cap1 PC to QS (for better benefits). As people say on this site, YMMV. Considering you dont have any baddies on your CR, some of the things causing your limits to be around 500 maybe just small factors (not enough credit history, too many inquiries or income) which only time can fix.

I appreciate the advice I am just tired of waiting. I want "grown up" cards. I deserve them since I do everything right. I know slow and steady wins the race but waiting till March will make a difference for me.

Yea I've been there myself, Started with a BofA Secured Card with 300, took two years to build it to 5000 After PC just last week. You're on the right track, just hang in there.
