I think Discover and Chase will give me chances in March Smiley Happy

I am normally not a staunch advocator of "gardening" but in your case it is definitley best if you wait until March. From personal experience Discover really likes to see history with your current cards before they'd extend an offer, particularly under manual review. I totally understand your feeling though. I have the same "wanting to app" feeling now, but I know it is primarily a consequence of the boards. I got a secured card last year and it was tough trying to stick it out without apping. Then my card went unsecured this year so that at least gave me a chance at Chase even though I had to recon (I have a big baddie 4 year old CO). If I didn't have that history I wouldn't even have a chance.

I'm the devil's advocate...so.... I'd say apply for it. You might take a hit on AAoA, but what if you get it?

I'm not gonna add another hard pull to my history if I'll get another baby limit.

Can you guarantee it for sure for the OP?  Could you also guarantee an approval for something > $1K and decent terms given the current profile?  While everyone's results and outcomes will vary, optimal conditions always provide better leverage.

Re: This is getting too hard :(

With a thin file and low limits, March may be a little soon.

Any chance to become an AU on someone's high CL card for 6 months and then apply for a Citi or Discover product?

The WalMart Discover will grow with use and on-time payment. It's not pretty but a free TU score is included.

From what we've read/seen here, Chase really like a year of good history. Also, they want HP for CLI.

Be patient and avoid getting denied or another toy limit.

Also, Spend a little money on Calamine lotion..... for the itch. Smiley Happy

Re: This is getting too hard :(

I understand what you're saying but March is enough time for things to grow and age. Two of my store cards have had auto increases on their own. I'm doing what I can to get what I want bad by March my accounts will be 7+ months old.
