Those with High Spending Limit Cards...

How do you handle paying the bill each month say if you spend 1k or so?

Also what are considered "Prime" cards?

Re: Those with high SPL cards...

Depending on the creditor, I make 1, and on occasion, 2 payments by the due date.

Prime credit is a characterization or designation of a credit score that falls into the range that is one step down from super prime, uet above subprime. Lenders often offer some of their top tier loans and cards with the lowest interest rates and best terms to consumers with prime credit and super prime.

Life was a lot simpler when what we honored was father and mother, rather than all major credit cards. ~Robert Orben

Re: Those with high SPL cards...

Any cards that don’t have a 0% apr promo I PIF. If that means using $1500 or less of my $10,000 limit then that’s what I do. If my limit was $100,000 that’s still what I’d do, I don’t let the limit push me to spend more than I should.
Kind of have everything I want now, creditwise. Undeliberately gardening until I have some spending to do and find a 100,000 Amex Platinum offer lol

I’m assuming ‘spending limit’.

Well that makes sense, then.  In that case, any card that's not on a 0% or very low promotional APR gets paid in full prior to the due date, whether I charged $5 or $15,000 on it the previous month.   I don't make multiple payments typically; that's what the grace period is for.

Like others have mentioned, I only charge what I can pay in full at the end of the month unless I have a 0% APR promo.

As for what's considered "Prime", that's strictly in the eye of the beholder.  One man's ceiling is another man's floor.  Smiley Wink
