I was wondering if this happens to anyone else and if this is common practice for Comenity VS card.
Everytime I make a purchase with that card my available balance goes down double what I spent. So if I spent 100 and my credit line is 1000. My available balance goes from 1000 to 800 instead of 1000 to 900. It happens everytime I use the card and takes over a week to adjust itself to the correct available balance. I have othe Comenity cards and none of the other ones do this.
I have reached out via the secure message center with them but it is as if they dont even read my question and give me a generic answer. One answer was them telling me my credit line which is not even close to answering the question I asked.
So I wanted to see if this is common practice for the VS card.
i have a VS card and that doesn't happen to me, unless i haven't noticed it. I will pay attention to it next time i make a purchase.
It's funny you should mention this as I just notice dit. When I shop online that doesn't happen, but my AU spent this weekend in store and it lowered my available credit by double until this morning. Weird
Ah okay then maybe it is something they do then. Makes me less worried something is wrong with it.
Weird!
I've never noticed this, but then again I only shop online with that particular card. Weird that in store it'll authorize double the amount.
I have experienced this before. I called them and they told me it is a glitch in their system.
Thank you for all the responses. I feel bad for the ones who experience the glitch with extremly low credit line. If it doubles the amount I can see how it might make shopping harder if it looks like you are maxing your limit.
But I am relieved to know it is not just me it is happening to as I was getting no where with the service reps via the message center.
