After paying off some high credit card utilization and some installment loans I'm finally starting to see some score increases. When reports updated today I hit 662 TU, 650 EX, and 621 EQ. That's 14-18 points over the last thirty days with hopefully more to come over the next few weeks. Rather than racking up unnecessary inquires applying for useless cards I plan to garden until January 2016 and then apply for a Venture card. Hopefully my scores will be in the 700s by then! Wish me luck guys and gals!
Good job on paying down some of your credit cards and grats on your score going up. That is a good idea thus not applying for anything anytime soon. The patience of not applying will pay off when you finally decide to take the plunge.
All in all, good job!!

Congrats!! I have a similar strategy and my scores have been going up as a result too. I want the QS though since I like the cashbback option. Good luck in your gardening!
I like my Quicksilver but only have a $1650 limit so it's hard to use without running up high utilization. I recently got my first $5k limit from NDFCU and that's been my go to card.
Good luck! I'm also in the garden until January. If my scores support it, I plan on applying for the Venture then as well. Oh and I still want a Delta Amex but I'll wait until January for that, too.
Good luck! And congrats on paying down your balances! Always a relief!

Nice job yourself. I also rebuilt without bankruptcy.
