They already gave me 150K as a private student loan, which is the maximum they give. I have paid a few thousand of this by now but it still seems rude to ask for more when they have given that much.

It's a business. They're not doing it out of the kindness of their hearts. They benefit financially. It's more business for them. Just don't be rude when asking for it, and don't feel that you are entitled to it. I think it's fine.
