My HHGREGG card arrived today, and instead of having my name correctly, they had my first name, last initial, and middle name on the card. I contacted customer service. (was like talking to a can of lemonade). They asked me if i wanted them to send me a new card!.. WHA???? YES.. Send me a new card please.
Ok.. the question. Do I activate the "incorrect name" card? or wait for the "Correct name" card?
I have allready set up my account online and have statement access, etc etc... they even have my name incorrect on the account information on the statement. The CSR said that he fixed all that, I will not know til next month though.
Do you need it? If not then I would wait the week or 10 days for the new card. If you need it then you can activate it.

I wouldnt only because that could make for an awkward conversation with the one cashier who wants to see some ID

No, I don't need the card, I maxxed it out the day my fridge died... and I set it up online the following day, I log into it via the same link I get to my Carecredit account. When I logged into CC, it said I had additional cards on my profile, so I linked it under same login.. which triggered a statement generation, so both cards are due on the same day.. no biggie though, I can handle those two at same time...
I was thinking the same thing on the "cashier wants ID" thoughts LOL..
I will just leave this one sitting here , in the envelope still, and then when the new card gets here, and verified acct number and name are correct, I wil activate that one, shred the old one, and then SD the card, while I pay off the 100% UTI..
