Just did a pre qual for Amex and all 3 of the cards they offered state “You may receive a line of up to (lol) $2,000”. While I agree and understand that building a relationship with Amex will clearly be a better idea than using Merrick or Credit One, I’m apprehensive about trading 5,200 in availability for 2,000 ( or less) in availability and reducing my availability from $13,000 to 10,000. Is it the gamble that it sounds like to me?
