I know there were a lot of posts on here abput the shopping cart trick a year or two ago but does anyone have info on whether that trick still works or not?? I have 3 toy cards from commenity bank and they are all 6 mos- 1 year or more old, they won't give me a torrid card for some reason and its the one I REALLY want right now Smiley Sad. Tips, advice? I know I should be in the garden *sigh*

Re: Torrid and the shopping cart trick

well, the proper thing for me to tell you is to "garden", but thats like calling the kettle black! LOL...but....if you really really want the card, then...

clear cache, clear history, try a different browser, go IN store...(some have been known to get the pre approval in store at check out with an email)....

all I can do is offer suggestions, and tell you to keep trying. Sometimes it takes awhile to get it. Good luck!

Re: Torrid and the shopping cart trick

I was preapproved in store at the register when they put in my Torrid insider number, but if I am remembering correctly, I think it was still a HP on my report. I don't think the SCT works on Torrid's site, because I never got a pop up in the weeks leading up to being approved in store. It doesn't work on Maurices site either, sadly, as that is the one I'm really wanting.

Re: Torrid and the shopping cart trick

That first thought you had was probably the right one, on gardening. But I understand the urge, especially when it's for something you really want. Been there before.

Re: Torrid and the shopping cart trick

Did it work on the Torrid site? I, like the others here, have been trying, with no success. And it's also the only one left of the Comenity cards that I want.  :/
