I recently opened a Visa Signature for the 1.5x in the portal. I already have a Propel and Go Far Rewards account with Wells. Now that I have the VS and am earning points on purchases, how do I keep track of when these points expire? It doesn't look like they created a second go far account for the VS, so points are pooled together across those two cards into the one account. Am I supposed to manually keep track? Will redeeming always use VS points first--since they have an expiration date, and propel points never expire?
@mumbogray if you are talking about Cash Wise, points do not expire as long as card remains open according to T&C
You may wanna give Wells Fargo a call to see what's going on. I have the Propel Card and the Visa Signature card and I have 2 separate Go Far Rewards accounts (1 per card). I can always transfer them between the 2 accounts when I need to but other than that they stay separated.

Not the Cash Wise, the one that's just called Visa Signature with the 1.5x on flights. They say the points expire after 60mo.

Thanks for this info. Does the Go Far account that came with the Visa Sig notate when rewards expire? According to this the author also has a combined Go Far account..but it does not mention points expiration. I like the combined, but if it's a PIA to know which points expire when, I guess I will call to separate them.
Any chance since I had the Propel first and it's storing in that associated Go Far account, the VS points wont expire?
Well, in that case you have 5 years before they expire, also in T&C

I know the VS points expire. The Propel's do not. I have 1 Go Far account that stores points between these two cards. My questions is, will the website tell me when the VS earned points expire, or do I have to keep track of it myself? And then when I redeem points, since it is 1 Go Far account how does it differentiate between the points with exp vs no exp, if at all? FIFO, points nearing expiration first, etc..this is not in the T&C. They talk about pooling and transfering points, and even say closing 1 card does not forfeit earned Go Far points if there is another open card. Yet zero mention of how the expiration dates are worked into redeeming and pooling and such.
Please forgive me if this is a standard practice, this is my first card with points that expire--and first second card from same lender.
Your Points expire and You cannot use them at the end of the 60th month (approximately 5 years) starting the first month Your Points post to Your Rewards Account. When You redeem Your Points, We begin with the earliest Points You earned.
I did find this digging a bit more through the fine print. Additionally:
- Transfer them: You can transfer Your Rewards to another Rewards Account You own.
If You transfer, gift or contribute Your Rewards, they will be subject to the terms and conditions (including expiration) of the Rewards Account to which You moved them.
So it looks like there is quite a bit more wiggle room having the account separated, as Jordan suggested. For any new appers, when signing up for a second card, setting up automatic redemption on the existing Go Far account triggers the new card to be created with an additional Go Far account, rather than combining them into 1. Otherwise the default is to combine them.
