I called this morning to have my Freedom credit limit of $5,500 transfered over to my CSP as this is the one I use EVERYDAY and has one of my lowest limits.
I don't take advantage of the Freedom perks so I want to just get rid of it all the way.
When I called in to have this done they said it would result in a hard pull of my credit... WHAT? I thought you could transfer lines from Chase cards easily without issue? I got the Freedom and CSP at the same time and the Freedom has been Auto Luv'd but the CSP hasn't. I use the CSP heavily as my main card as it works out for me the best and make large payments multiple times a month and also PIF(most of the time).
What's the big deal!? Why can't they just transfer the CL to my CSP without a hard pull?
Wow! That's new.
Did you try doing it via secured message? I moved limits around less than a year ago via secured message and they didn't pull anything.
Call back or SM. I just moved my entire Slate limit to my Freedom last week. Also both opened the same time.

I always just do an SM and they do it no problem with no HP. I really hope they can keep that policy up that way for a while.
Still nothing back from SM...
They do a SP not a HP to just check everything is still okay with your credit.
ugh why can't people learn and be trained to know the difference!
I know the difference between SP and HP.
He speficifcally said on the phone it would be a HP. That's why I declined and we couldn't go any further.
