Try To Get Hooters or go for another?

Hi all, As you can see my scores below I am taking steps in the right direction and trying to get results of 600 scores by this summer. I have always wanted a dodge charger since debut and I refused to pay 21% interest so I I have been pushing to fix my credit and of course without myfico forget it. I was told by my dealer that if I could hit 600 since I have a very good income I can get anything I want for an auto loan with good rate so I want to see what is best for me to do to get there by summer.

Currently I just got approved for orchard premium rewards visa with a 300.00CL. Lots of people on here say to get more than 1 cc.

This would be the only card I have. Should I apply for something else? Scores suck too bad for hooters?

If I should get another card, What card would you try for?

I am a firm believer in "repair " then "rebuild"

Have you completed your repair? or do you just want to go straight for the re-bulid?

Timothy, There is a few more things left to repair. And again I will show my full story so I can listen to your instruction. Here is what I have left.

TU Score 543 has only 3 adverse accts left I can't even beleive it. My negative marks are so short now LOL.

1. CO that is cheduled to fall off 10/2008...
2 and 3. collections for a medical account that should have never existed. Somehow my UPMC insurance company never paid the OC and was sent to collections, I  called UPMC .about a few weeks back and they said they were sorry and don't know why they were not paid. They sent me a paper that the claims were resubmitted and paid so I am going to dispute now and say they were paid by my insurance late and not my fault and have documentation to prove paid.

EQ  score 539 has 4 adverse accounts left. 
1.collection that I have no idea what it is but shows as an open account and current status 120+ past days.
2.same upmc issue.
3. a collection I sucessfully deleted from TU but still on EQ.
4. another collection successfully deleted from TU but still on EQ.
5. same collection/CO as above sceduled to fall off 10/2008

EX score 578 has 4 adverse accounts left.
1. same upmc issue
2. collection I had successfully deleted from TU but still on EX.
3. same upmc issue. (There are 2 upmc issues and both are now paid by upmc).
4.another collection that was successfully removed from, TU.

There ya go that is my full stuff left and this looked so much bigger before I can't even beleive it thanks to you Timothy,Scarlett and many other supporters.

I'm not Timothy, but I'll give my 2 cents (worthless at the moment in this economy, lol).,.,.

I would try a secured card if you really want another TL.  I'm guessing you might have some luck diluting the bad stuff w/ a few good things.  It seems like a lot of ppl really like the BoA 99/500.  I'm not sure of the quals, but you could probably search for them on here.

You've done a lot of good work, and you're probably at the spot that's the toughest to deal with -- the waiting game.  After the CO you'll probably see a nice bump.  Find out what that 120+ account is and get to work on that while you're waiting.

Hooters wants to see 2 open TL's-

Sounds like you are on your way to finishing the clean up- 

I say wait for the new CC to report and the CA's that will removed by insurance- 

Then see where you are at-

If you are really ready to do something- get a secured CC for 1K at you local CU-  you will then meet the min requirements for Hooters and be on your way to rebuilding-

I have read 1/4 of million posts in the last 11 months- so I can't remember everyones story, just glad we could help-

Tradelines are not neccessarily CC's are they?   I have 2 loc's from hfc,  1 never missed payment and 1 with a few 30 day lates. I have a paid off mortgage from novastar never missed payment got bought by saxon. I have a saxon mortgage never mised payment, Paid car loan never missed payment, another paid car loan never missed payment, I have a van with one 30 day late 2 years ago that I am still paying on, I have a car loan never missed payment on that I am still paying on and a personal loan never missed a payment on that I am still paying,.

LOL - Timothy, it took me a few minutes to type my reply to his post as well.  I just blamed it on the fact that it was in the middle of the night.

That's really neat that you're a relative of old Ogden.  I came across this quote about 10 years ago when I started teaching math.  It seemed to fit then and fits again as I may be teaching math next year instead of US History.  I have decided to put away the Citi dreams at the moment and just enjoy what I have, rather than what I do not.

If you're looking for another CC you could go for BofA my scores are slightly lower than yours and I got the secured 300 offer in the mail with my rejection for a non secured card (only app'd for the unsecured to try and get the 99/500 offer.)  It ended up taking two inquiries, a few phone calls to see if my collateral was received (first woman wouldn't check and hung up on me), and FINALLY after like two weeks they took the money yesterday. 

I don't know how you feel about secured cards, but BofA is supposed to really grow with you

BoA is great with growing with you.  Started off on the secure card for $300 and two years later I have an unsecured $5000.  I will wait another 30 days and go back and ask for a CLI and probably will get it.
