Hey everyone long time no see, I'm currently trying to get a credit card with a credit limit above my max ($6200) but after much searching i haven't been able to find the perfect card to apply for so i'm here to ask for your opinions.
My scores in my signature are up to date as of yesterday... Utilization is 0% right now. Max limit i have is $6200 from USAA.
Any suggestions?
edit: forgot to mention, i have an upgrade offer from oldnavy, current CL on my store card is $2500, think i should risk it and take the score hit to upgrade to the Visa oldnavy card and hope for a CLI?
are those fico's?
what are your current cards and limits?
i would suggest a cu. Usually they are the most generous with the cards.

What do your other cards look like? Are you a full or partial member of USAA? What does your report look like?
Unfortunately i'm not eligible for nfcu, no one in my family is in the military i joined one of those military programs to qualify for usaa so im not sure if im full or partial.... Funny thing tho i just decided to take the risk and allow citibank to hardpull my $1000 CL and they bumped it to $6000 for me, great, but i want something closer to $10,000 >_<
My cards now are;
Usaa - $6200
Citi - $6000
Chase freedom $800
Amex green
Old navy - $2200 or so not $100 sure
Amazon - $1500
And paypal smart connect $1200
All 0 balance, aaoa is around 1.8 years. No baddies. So does anyone think i should accept the visa offer from old navy? I'd take a hit to My aaoa though... Is there a way to join nfcu like usaa?

My cards now are;
Usaa - $6200
Citi - $6000
Chase freedom $800 - Chase has been known to come back on a Saphire or one of those others i don't like all that much but will crazy limit over $10k
Amex green - Let knew $6k with Citi report and then hit them up for a credit card, I suggest Blue Cash most likely.
Old navy - $2200 or so not $100 sure - Take the VISA offer, it will come with increase and some I have seen are quite large and really we don't know FOR SURE that opening a new line without an inq will effect you to much negatively
Amazon - $1500 - no Visa or what not to upgrade to but it's a free CLI every 4 months over the automated phone... ask HIGH, system counters.... you could even try asking to be transferred to underwriting, they will review a "Fresh" report on spot (SP ALWAYS) the ones in system for phone and CSR CLI request can be 60-90 days old I have found and see many others say same.... Same with PayPal below CLI! id ask for $5k on both of these and see what they come back at.

Why are all your accounts reporting as $0 or are they $0 now but a couple had balances on statement that you then PIF?
If you are paying before statement to get ALL at $0 you will actually probably hurt yourself when applying for more.
Id check Discover Pre-Approval online but they usually seem little more conservative on CL's but again sometimes I have seen those come back crazy high for people.
Of course i wait for it to report the balance before i PIF, been here awhile and picked up quite a few tips lol. The reason im hesitant getting the old navy visa is because it'll report as a new card. Still think its a good idea?
@creditnocash in my post i clearly said i have a usaa card with a 6.2k limit already... And they gave me that when my highest card limit was $1000 so i really dont think theirs a correlation between potential credit lines and current ones because you have to start somewhere right?
My question is and still is, what company or card is generous with limits? I know nfcu is but unfortunately i can't join... Any others? Th

usaa is similar to a cu. so if thats how you feel id app for another usaa.
im just saying that it seem's hard to think that chase, usbank, discover, amex would give you a 10k limit when all your other cards are under 5k. except a couple. im not saying it wouldn't happen just if you dont get it dont get too dissapointed.

I thought I suggested a couple banks and cards that I would think are best options if to get over $10k.
I think Amex is your best bet if I had to put money on it... If you get anything over $4k, you have the potentnional to be over $12k in 62 days!
it's rare to see anything like that elsewhere...
As another said though, if you have USAA now and for over 6 months, I would consider a 2nd... but 2nd cards are when you see MUCH higher opening limits with Citi and Chase.
