I applied for a CLI at Capital One. I received a letter saying i was turned down because of a recent deliquent account. The letter gave me the number for equifax. I pulled my report there and didn't see anything passed 30 days, in collections, ect. I also pulled Experian, and all is good. I have not had any deliquent accounts since 2009.
I called capital one and i got a bit run around. they told me to contact equifax. I told them that i pulled the report and didn't see anything. They told me to call them and schedule an appointment with a credit advisor or to file a dispute - but there is nothing to dispute..the report is fine. It went around in circles and i ended up getting off the phone really frustrated. they refused to take a next step or do anything to help me out....
Any thoughts on what to do next? i am sort of at a loss here.
Thanks
Call Cap One Recon number (Backdoor Numbers), or at least try to get to a credit analyst. At least, you need to find out what they are seeing in order to get it fixed.
They told me the same thing. I have credit lines 8 of them over 8000.00. I really don't care for the card anyway. I checked all 3 reports nothing is delinquent. All scores mid 720. Don't worry about it.
Do you have the number for the recon for them?

no backdoor for credit at Capital one, you can either send them a message on Facebook or email directly to the president of capital one, either will get a phone call from the Executive office if you provide your phone number, they can help put through for a manual review of cli and any product changes to quicksilver if you don't have it yet and AF removal if you have one. ask for a cl that matches all your other cards, they will ask if you would take less if they can't go that high.
