I'm thinking of getting another Freedom just for the bonus. Why not take advantage of the offer while it's on I figure? But, I don't really want two of the same card in general. I do intend to get a CSP in the future (but I want the bonus points attached to it). What options do I have should I app for this card again?
1. Just keep the card long term and use them both.--Ehhh, not really what I want.
2. Cancel the card--I have a very short AAofA. What are the ramifications of this course of action?
3. PC it to the CSP which I want anyway. Or an Ink card which I really want.--Do you get the bonus points/offers with a PC? Ink for personal use is doable?
4. Merge the cards into one card with a bigger credit limit--This sounds like a good option. Does Chase allow this?
Are there other options I'm missing?
Chase will not approve the 'same like' credit card. They stopped that a +/- year ago
PCs do not receive a sign up bonus

Awwww. A year late and more than a dollar short. Filled out the app and everything. That was a lot of work.

Well that is definitely another option. Lol
Hmmm. What is an AU of mine applies for one? I'm guessing they wouldn't be eligible for any sign up bonus with Chase, either?

AU's would create a completely new account and receive the bonus.
Once your AU gets the new card, they could even add you on as their AU and help them reach the spend for the bonus.
I was an AU on a Chase Southwest to help get the 50,000 mile bonus. Once bonus achieved, I opened a new account myself and got another 50,000 bonus (on a differenct rewards account)

I was just approved last night for the chase freedom. I was wondering the same thing. It would have been nice to get approved for 2 separate cards an merge the limits.
