For those of you with experience:
1. Is USAA good with APR reductions on cards after history is built with them?
2. Is it true that they use same HP for back to back apps?
Thanks for feedback!

I think I answered one of my own questions. Hopefully someone will have feedback on other one. =)

I've never tried for an APR reduction with USAA but I would be interested in knowing the answer as well. I can verify that the same HP was used a few weeks ago when I app'd the USAA Rate Advantage MC and the USAA Rewards AMEX back to back. Of course as with anything YMMV...

Oh wow! Did you app same day? And are you full or limited member?
DH has two USAA cards, one was Pre approved in his "Offers " Box one day and he apped for an additional card at the time of app.
Both were approved off the same HP , EQ. 2 years later REQ for CLI both cards were approved for CLi off the same HP, and it was EQ as well.
I have two cards with them, I was preapproved for 1 in "my offers" page as well. Both were same day App. Both approved off the same HP. 6 mo later CLI on both w/ 1 HP on EQ, approved for both.
Thats our track record.
Never tried to Reduce APR as our APR is like 13.99 or something like that, so really it is below average anyway.
We are full members.

Yep, same day. The apps were literally within minutes of each other. I've been a full member since 2011.
Thanks everyone for the input.
As tempting as it is to go for a second app, while hoping for same HP, I'm a limited member and the APR I got is not what I'd want on a second card so I think I am going to hold off.
