Too bad. I really thought you were gonna go single digit on us.I'll send them a SM now
You're an inspiration.. Keep up the good fight!
I got denied for both of my cards when I tried via chat the other day. Might try back tomorrow or Tuesday lol.
Leo, you have $60k in credit from TWO cards? Very impressive. Which ones made your cut?

Haha I wish! No, I have $65k spread across 9 cards:
Amex BCP
Bank of America Travel Privileges
Chase Freedom
Chase Slate
Citi Forward
Citi TY Preferred
Discover IT
Gap Silver
Target
Citi has not been showing me much love as of late. After being denied for the reduction, I checked to see what kind of APR I would receive on a new card via their pre-qual, and I was pre-approved for the Double Cash at a whopping 17.99% APR. A bit appalling as I generally get pre-quals from other lenders at their lowest rates available. Oh well
Just updating again.
DW was approved on 3/19 for the AA card with $2800 limit and 22.99 APR (if I recall). All part of her spree that day.
Got the card activated on the 25th or 27th or so. Saw this thread and when it was started and tried my luck after the 2nd day this thread was active. Went from 22.99 to 19.99. Have tried 3 other times since. And as of today 4/7/2015, Citi has lowered it to 13.99%!!
Wow, just WOW. That's the lowest advertised rate for the card according to their site. Will try again in a couple days to see if they would go lower, if not no biggie.
I know most here PIF, but for us this is big, especially when she was always in the 22-25% range and still got that on some of the cards in her spree. We do carry balances, albeit small ones about half the time, rarely on the highes interest rate cards. Never more than 10% overall. So the lower the better on any APR, for us at least .
Just wanted to give the info, for those still interested. Also, any questions feel free to ask

Congrats ! Love reading posts like these. Low APRs are great for "just in case" scenarios. I think 13.99% is the lowest published rate. Got mine down to 13.24% though.
I just tried to get my rate lowered with Citi and I got stonewalled. They wouldn't budge off of 19.99 and I've been a customer for well over 15 years and never asked for a decrease before! I just asked the first person I got on the phone and after putting me on hold for 10 or 15 seconds to "check what was available" she came back and said "there are no offers available at thime". This is pretty shocking to me. What should I do next? Thanks.
I decided to hop on the APR lowering band wagon as well, I was able to get Amex to drop my rate from 17.24 to 14.24%. I would also try USAA but last time they said there was nothing they could do.
LoL pressed my luck again today.
13.99 to 13.24 HEHE

I'm thinking that when they get to the XX.24% that's the lowest that they can do at that point. Anyone have any other experiences to say otherwise?
Doesn't seem far from the truth, honestly.
