US BANK cash +

I just applied for this card to establish a relationship with US bank. My application was submitted 3 days ago and still pending. Does the longer the pending time mean more likelihood of approval or nah?

And I have lots of inquiries on my TU and I know US bank can be sensitive to those. Does it really make a difference if I have my ARS/IDA frozen? Will these freezes give me a better chance of approval?

They ARS/IDA frozen usually means better chance of approval. Particularly Instant approvals on strong profiles that otherwise would have for whatever reason not passed the sniff test.

Re: US BANK cash +

If it's your first US Bank card they take their time. Unless you have an existing banking relationship with them - most apps are manually reviewed.

2 yrs ago, I was instant approved for the PLOC for $15k and Platinum Visa for $10k, and yeah I bank(ed) with them...direct deposit, etc...

I've since PC'd the Plattie to the Cash +

They pulled EQ on me....745 at the time.

Since US Bank would not take a phone app for Cash+ I accepted the pre-approved offer for Perks+ to get in..waiting to PC. But even with this offer it took them 7 days to get my account approved. Just be patient and you can check the approval status over the phone but it will not tell you the limit.

edit: I thought of freezing IDA, ARS and Innovis but figured if it would lead to a denial the I for sure will do it. So far it has worked out with no negative for me.

Getting things done with US Bank is like watching grass grow sometimes, can be very frustrating. I had the regular platinum card for years then it was upgraded to Cash + per phone call. Recently, they are pushing their premier line, which I went ahead and got. It's basically a no fee cash advance card, or in their words their unsecured line of credit.

The Cash+ can be useful if you have the right kind of spend to take advantage.

No fee cash advances? Looks like everything is a 4% advance fee, whether from ATM or cash advance?

Perhaps the CC is no fee to charge?

No AF, yes, but not for the individual advances.

That's odd, before phone was actually the only way you could apply if there's no USB presence in state.

I applied for Cash+ over the phone. Wasn't approved and got cash rewards instead. Waiting for PC.
