US Bank is offering a $500 SUB for their Altitude Connect with a $2k spend within 90 days. There are some nuances previously noted especially on timing for redemption to get the full value. What's new is that I was chatting with a representative today about the Bank Smartly Checking account that currently has a $400 bonus based on direct depost activities which ends April 3rd. The new promotion that starts on the 4th will reduce the bonus for the current tiers ($100, $300 IIRC), but it will introduce a new tier of $500 bonus for DD > $10K within 90 days. So this combo of CC + Checking leads to effectively $1000 SUB with required activities. There is a list of what has historically qualified as direct deposit on DoC here.
Note: That if you are out of footprint, like I am, you'll need to sign up for the card first, then once the relationship has been established, you can sign up for the checking account. I did the reverse and got a denial letter. After calling, they informed me the correct order of operations.

Applicants should also note that if you have a US Bank credit card they waive the normal monthly maintenance fee on the checking account.
