Hi there,
When I checked on the new Smartly card this morning I noticed this footnote on the Altitude Go:
IMPORTANT CHANGE: Effective April 14, 2025, you will earn 3 Bonus Points (4 Points total) for every $1 on your first $2,000 each quarter on restaurant, fast-food restaurant and bar purchases.
It's really unfortunate as it is my backup when I exhaust my Redstone 5% dining limit for the year.
Anyone have another candidate for a dining card?

The free no-hard-pull PayPal debit gets 5% in your chosen category, 1k monthly cap. Restaurants works for fast food and bars as well. You can use a 1% cashback debit card to fund your PayPal balance for an effective 6% return.

If you have VZW - the VZW VS is unlimited 4% so I've effectively already moved most of my dining spend there anyways and had plans to PC to C+ (to give me a 2nd C+ card)
Looks like the Elan Everyday Rewards+ card available through various smaller banks and credit unions still offers unlimited 4% on restaurants. However, this is essentially a rebranded USBank Go product, so if the Go is getting a cap, this might get it soon as well.
As mentioned above, Verizon Visa also offers unlimited 4% on restaurants. That would probably be my pick if I need to switch to cash back.
Right now I'm saving up transferrable points for a vacation, so Amex Gold is the way to go.

If you are already using the Redstone card, you could pair it with the Citi Custom Cash. The Custom Cash does have a $500 monthly cap, but that likely will not be an issue for you if it is your backup dining card.
Or if you really want to save more than 4%, stop going out so much and spending on restaurants. The ultimate savings and you don't need a CC for it.

Scratch that. I got a notice on my Elan Everyday Rewards+ saying 4% on restaurants will be limited to $2000 spend effective April 22, 2025.

If $2000 per quarter is a limiting factor then $500 per month won't be much help. Unless maybe stacking all three would be good enough.

Well, the Redstone card with its $7k annual cap and the Custom Cash with its $500 monthly cap together would allow the OP to earn $3,250 per quarter, which, to me, is much less limiting than the $2k quarterly cap of the Altitude Go.
