US Bank Altitude Reserve CLI

The advice here has helped me get my credit back to respectible after a job loss several years ago with a FICO score in the low 500's to where I am today being able to acquire premium cards.

I am coming up on 6 months of having the US Bank Altitude Reserve and have a question regarding cli.  I have read on numerous posts that the highest cli US Bank will approve without a HP is $1,500.   Was wondering if that was different for this card.  Has anyone had any experience with a cli for this card?

Thank you.

I've read numerous posts about the $1.5k CLI request, but personally, I wouldn't even bother to ask for $1.5k on any card.

Last month, I got my first CLI on the AR. I got the card in late February 2018, so right before the year mark. The initial CL was $5k after recon. Denial was for too many new accounts and I was also approved for the Cash+ card about a week or so before. I only got it to be eligible to apply for the AR.

After getting approved for $5k, I called to ask for more. No dice. I knew I was already pushing too far. They told me to wait a few months.

About 5 months later, I called to find out if I was eligible for a CLI. I talked to both a CSR and an underwriter and they said I could request a CLI anytime. Request was denied and the letter said that they wanted to see at least 6 months of history Smiley Frustrated I wasn't very happy about that, so I called UW but I didn't get anywhere.

Right before the card renewal, I was thinking about canceling but I decided to try one last time. I asked for $30k, went to review, and a couple of days later got approved for $25k. Good enough, so I kept the card.

It took 3 HPs to get me to $25k from approval to last CLI request.

I hope you have better luck Smiley Happy

Re: US Bank Altitude Reserve CLI

The cl on the card is $10k.

This is the only card I have with US Bank, but have been banking with them for 18 years.

Re: US Bank Altitude Reserve CLI

I would wait until 1 year. US Bank seems to like a year of credit history with them. They will probably give you something now with the HP but will be more generous later. IMO

Re: US Bank Altitude Reserve CLI

What kind of CL are you looking for? How much of your limit have you been using? What about balances on other cards?
One thing I noticed is that they matched the CL of the card with the highest reported balance for that cycle.

Re: US Bank Altitude Reserve CLI

Since this is your only USB card, and not yet a year, I suggest no action.

If your use/payment is acceptable they may give you an auto CLI of 40% of the limit. On three of my USBank CC, I got 40% on each, at about 10 months. The other two, I did not have one long enough, and the second, the AR is an active third card so probably already at my max current limits with USB overall when I was approved.
