US Bank is one of the tougher approvals.
They place more weight on AAOA and clean records more than most. Unless you have an extremely long AAOA, an unpaide collection in the $2,000s will likely be a deal breaker for them.
These guys want super clean CRs.
I believe they're relatively conservative. Maybe not FNBO conservative but not an easy approval.
Looked at their Cash + but wouldn't pull the trigger. I think my utilization is a little too high for them at 40%.

when did the First National Bank of Omaha get conservative? Sure they do a manual review, but aren't paranoid about having a clean report, I got my FNBO Discover card with numerous INQ's even 2 in the last 6 months at the time, 6x Baddies on my report, all 6 years old and non-paid. Approved for 6k CL matching my highest limit. They recently gave me a CLI of $1500, to $7500 after 6 months, and 25% UTL at the time becoming my highest limit.

I agree. A friend of mine got a preapproval for their Visa, applied and got approved with collections and chargeoffs still reporting (they were 5+ years old though)
Been thinking about getting this US Bank Cash+ card. I'm planning a road trip to Cincinnati in May and may stop in a branch to apply.
I wonder if they'll like my Experian report with 13 inq and 17 recently closed by consumer accounts. haha.

let me know! I'm in a similar situation as you are (9 inq). Not trying to make you my guinea pig haha but I am curious about how inquiry sensitive they are as well.
In my case, I think the account closures should negate the large number of inquiries, 4 of which are from searching for an auto loan which I should have just gotten from DCU in the first place. Can't beat 1.99% used auto loan except with penfed's 1.74%
most of my inquiries are due to my auto loan too. 5 inquiries, just like that, without me even knowing. I was just expecting 1 since I was very confident about qualifying for the manufacturer's 0.9APR financing, but apparently my dealership did a blanket app with other banks as well at the same time.
Still gets very depressing whenever I look on my EX file.
