US Bank Rewards Question

Hey Guys,

I just received my Cash+ this weekend. I thought I'd be prepared for the mess of a UI. There's a learning curve, and layout isn't the most blind friendly, but I'm quickly catching on.

Theres one thing driving me crazy though. Where can I find CB, or percentage earned on transaction. Clicking on posted transaction only shows category. I looked in Rewards and Benefits, but nothing.... Chase, cap One, and all my other lenders are easier to find this.

Can @Remedios, or the multitude of Socks experts and gurus give a crash course?? Pretty Please!!! 😂

I made a VERY large utility payment, and want to make sure I received 5%. Thanks!!

Re: US Bank Rewards Question

Unfortunately, I never saw a breakdown either in the app or website

I really never had any issues with merchant codes, it always worked as its supposed to, but maybe this can help

Click on the category to the right and see if provider of services is used as "popular merchant".

Re: US Bank Rewards Question

USB has been revamping its site in the past year, and while it's slightly newer looking, I think it's actually gotten worse in terms of navigation.

You can see how many rewards posted to your account by going to the rewards portal and then clicking Profile at the top. You can see the rewards posting each month.

In the past you could see individual rewards for each transaction, but I do not see that anymore.

Thanks for that. I'll go look there as well. That portal didn't play nice with my screen reader, but eventually activated categories. I remember seeing the Profile header.

I hate their website. Its as functional and intuitive as flea market

App wasn't much better but there have been decent improvements there

Unfortunately the app and site for Elan is worse. I had to have my SO activate alerts, that section isn't read by screen reader.

A junior high schooler could code that mess in 5 minutes, and correct in 30 minutes. It's 💩

Re: US Bank Rewards Question

I couldn't find it, when my statement is ready I throw my transactions into excel and compared what I thought my rewards would be vs the actual total and found one of my transactions didn't count against the two categories I had selected that I thought might.

I only intend to use this card for Utilities and Internet so its only 5 or 6 transactions a month so it is easy to compare.
