I am thinking about apping, trying to enter another bucket. Does anyone know what they pull in MD, if eq that would be great, I have zero inquires and a 740 with 27% utl. I could wait about a month and have a 6%utl, but I am impatient. This would be number six already have Chase Freedom, BOA Amex, Macy Sig Visa, and two crap ones

Want to scrap the cap ones but has a six and 4 year history

No guarantee but you are likely to get hit with a EQ inquiry since they operate out of the Minneapolis Minnesota but if they feel extra evaluation is necessary, they COULD hit you with a TU as well. They are not a big fan of EX so its "generally" safe to assume they won't hit that.

@Anonymous: @Anonymous, what did they hit you with? @MidnightVoice, any ideas? @oracles, what did they hit you with? see if we can get an unofficial poll of our own here.

They pulled all three on me when I got my secured card in 2007. I only had a few weeks' credit  history at the time, so I guess they tried one, found nothing but a Macy's account opened three weeks previously (if that was even showing at that point) and so tried the others too. I don't think it's their regular practice, so wouldn't worry about that - was just listing that as my first (multiple) credit pull from them.
When the card became unsecured in June 2008, they pulled Equifax. They did pull Experian in November when they opened an overdraft  line of credit for me.
I think EQ is most likely. I'd also wait until you've got that lowered utilization reporting before applying - might as well put your best foot forward! Smiley Happy

Thank you. In your case pulling EX is like what we discussed, in the absence of credit or if they feel they need more info, they could pull more and since your credit seems to have been so brief, they needed all three it seems.Still though, they seemed to have pulled initially EQ on you and then in the future EQ. EX one is a bit odd but hey Smiley Happy

I would like them to pull eq and only eq. I could take the hit on tu, but my score is lower 701, thus a lower chance of approval. Anyhow I heard above a 680 is an approval, anybody here this?

it is likely in an 'approvable' range but doesn't guarantee approval.

DCU EQ 5.0, Citi EQ 08 Bankcard, PenFed EX NG2
EX 08: AFCU, Amex, Chase, PSECU EX 98(?)
TU 08: Barclays, Discover

Is there anything particularly icky on your TU report causing the lower score, that doesn't appear on your EQ?

Remember that it's not just the score; they're going to look at the actual report.

Re: US Bank; What to do, what to do?

Nothing icky at all on tu, in fact all my reports have pretty much the same information on them. For some reason tu is 701, which is much lower than the others, eq is 740, and ex is 741.
