Re: US Bank; What to do, what to do?

Are these FICO scores?

I only ask b/c my TU Fako is freakishly low, which is totally reverse from my TU Fico score.

These are ficos wpp, last May my scores were tu 688, eq 695, and ex 701. I know tu was the lowest then to but eq and ex has grown nicely by 40 while tu is being very sluggish.

Re: US Bank; What to do, what to do?

For me, my EX is ALWAYS my lowest, they have 4 incorrects that I have been fighting for 3 years to remove and they won't investigate saying they have done it and it was verified when I know its bull**** but not much I have been able to do to affect change there, my EQ is ALWAYS my highest, it has less stuff on it than my other reports but all of what it DOES show are gold, and TU is ALWAYS my middle score and it has almost all that EX has minus 2 of the wrong ones but still two of the same which I can't get them to remove either, it pisses me off. Without the wrong info, I would have 740s across the board or similar at least.

I wish I could even find the reason why my tu is lower, at least if knew I could dispute wrong info

Re: US Bank; What to do, what to do?

Try letting very few accts report, and those that do report, only let them report less than 9% (If possible).  Trying to reduce util and accts w/ balances reporting SHOULD help with TU.

Re: US Bank; What to do, what to do?

Interesting, has this happened to anyone else regarding US Bank? I decide to apply today and got the 7-10 day message, did not think it was a big deal because of other's success (cheezy). I called to see the status, since I have never been denied any credit I have applied for. The nice csr, said they did not even process my app due to my location in Maryland, and they could not give me a card. I am glad they did not give me a hard iq and then tell me that. I have never heard of not give a card to someone based on location and not credit scores/history. Oh well

Happens quite frequently to people who want a card from National City.  Someone else recently stated they were denied based on location for someone else, but I can't remember the state/creditor combo.

Re: US Bank; What to do, what to do?

BTW, not sure if I've said this anywhere else, but as this has turned into another of those epic US Bank threads, here goes:

If anyone has their Cash Rewards Platinum Visa, or is thinking of getting it, you get 1.25% cashback instead of the regular 1% if you have either a Gold or Platinum Five Star banking package with them. If you already have a checking account with them, it's worth asking to figure out how to make it qualify for one of the packages (doesn't take much to qualify for the Gold one - no minimum balance, no direct deposit necessary) - all I had to do to make mine become a "gold" one was basically to have it in combination with a US Bank credit card, so... oh, I already qualified! I think I had to set up autopay on the credit card (I set it to pay the minimum the day before the balance is due - by which point I've always PIF'd anyway) too, in order to check all the right boxes so there'd be no monthly fee. An extra .25% cashback may not be much, but I'll take it if it's on offer... makes the card rank with the BofA Accelerated Rewards AmEx, anyway. Smiley Happy

Oh - also, double cashback on "everyday" purchases (that is, purchases $25 and under) until the end of March. Thus, US Bank is my new coffee/lunch/random small purchase card!

I like US Bank.  Smiley Happy

Wow, this is a first. I thank you for sharing this because I have never in my years have seen such a thing or even heard it and it is good to know it is a possibility. Were you able to get them to tell you what they got against Maryland?
