Are these FICO scores?
I only ask b/c my TU Fako is freakishly low, which is totally reverse from my TU Fico score.

Interesting, has this happened to anyone else regarding US Bank? I decide to apply today and got the 7-10 day message, did not think it was a big deal because of other's success (cheezy). I called to see the status, since I have never been denied any credit I have applied for. The nice csr, said they did not even process my app due to my location in Maryland, and they could not give me a card. I am glad they did not give me a hard iq and then tell me that. I have never heard of not give a card to someone based on location and not credit scores/history. Oh well
Happens quite frequently to people who want a card from National City. Someone else recently stated they were denied based on location for someone else, but I can't remember the state/creditor combo.
BTW, not sure if I've said this anywhere else, but as this has turned into another of those epic US Bank threads, here goes:
If anyone has their Cash Rewards Platinum Visa, or is thinking of getting it, you get 1.25% cashback instead of the regular 1% if you have either a Gold or Platinum Five Star banking package with them. If you already have a checking account with them, it's worth asking to figure out how to make it qualify for one of the packages (doesn't take much to qualify for the Gold one - no minimum balance, no direct deposit necessary) - all I had to do to make mine become a "gold" one was basically to have it in combination with a US Bank credit card, so... oh, I already qualified! I think I had to set up autopay on the credit card (I set it to pay the minimum the day before the balance is due - by which point I've always PIF'd anyway) too, in order to check all the right boxes so there'd be no monthly fee. An extra .25% cashback may not be much, but I'll take it if it's on offer... makes the card rank with the BofA Accelerated Rewards AmEx, anyway.
Oh - also, double cashback on "everyday" purchases (that is, purchases $25 and under) until the end of March. Thus, US Bank is my new coffee/lunch/random small purchase card!
I like US Bank.

Wow, this is a first. I thank you for sharing this because I have never in my years have seen such a thing or even heard it and it is good to know it is a possibility. Were you able to get them to tell you what they got against Maryland?
it seemed odd but i think i saw that they list on the website the states that some of their credit products are limited to.
