US Bank reported on the day I maxed out the card. They really want my 100% utilization reported. Does any other bank do this?
Long version: Applied for Cash+ and got the cash instead with 1k toy limit, so I decided to push it. Ran a single 1k purchase several days ago (Feb 27) thinking that my last statement had just closed on 22th, and paid for it yesterday.
Just got CK alerts and saw the 1k balance and 100% utilization reported on Feb 27, same day I maxed out the card.
This is pretty lame. I'm starting to dislike US bank. Both CK FAKO scores dropped by ~30 pts.
Update: they report last day of month as a routine. Learned my lesson.

This is so lame that I start to hate US bank. Both CK FAKO scores dropped by ~30 pts.
It is neither lame nor mid-cycle. US Bank reports on the last working day of the month.
You can say that it's a bit unusual compared to other banks.
Your statement day doesn't matter for their reporting.

2/27 was the report date for US Bank since it was the last business day of the month. No big deal. Get your balance down before the report date next month.

It is frequently posted that US Bank is one of the creditors that does not report on statement date. There are certainly reasons to dislike US Bank but this isn't one of them.
This still doesn't make sense. The purchase was made on Feb 27 and only posted three days later. So on Feb 27, 28 and Mar 1, all three days my balance was 0. If they were going to report on 27 they should have reported my actual balance on 27 which was 0.
However they reported 1k balance on Feb 27 including pending transactions as posted balance. Still lame. Who reports pending transactions at statement cut?

I got US Bank and for me they report at the begininng of the month. thats very odd they reported during mid cycle!
Running a card to the limit will get you an immediate reporting to the CRAs especially with the big banks, Chase is known for this and some will also report when your balance reaches 0.
Banks would gain nothing by reporting earlier just to "catch" you at 100%. Actually, they would lose money to implement this, and why? US Bank reports my balance not on the statement date, but at the end of the month. Regardless of balance. So I always remember to pay it off the last 3 days of the month to give it time to show.
