once this card is available in all states do you think USAA will allow product change to it ?

Purely a gut instinct (no crystal ball) on this ... NO! USAA has been solid as a rock on not combining cards/limits and stubborn about Apr reductions since I joined back in 2010 so I would anticipate there will be no change in the near future. Presently, I sit on a USAA Product Panel and this is one issue we have not discussed or considered. Some of you USAA Members might contact USAA Federal Savings Bank and suggest the idea so maybe it will filter down to us. Offer your input and insight! I like the idea but, it takes the many rather than the few.

+1 @Dinasour. I've been with USAA since '09 and have consistently been denied any PC's. i think i will submit the inquiry though as you mentioned - when enough requests come thru change is prompted, but i'm not going to hold my breath on it. Both PC's and line movement. my ealier USAA cards are thin on rewards. i had 3 with them (rewards platinum mastercard that was just changed to rewards visa signature, closed out my cashrewards visa and still have my preferred cashrewards visa signature). I closed out my older cashrewards visa so when this rolls around to my state i have a little room open for credit to be extended (hopefully lol). just waiting 'patiently' here in Florida. i guess i'll have a beer and just sit on the beach until it rolls around.

i heard initially about requirements ($1k direct deposit and insurance?) anybody if that was accurate? I do have the DD and Insurance portions covered so hopefully that will be all they 'need'..

You will need to live in one of the approved states (or until they go system wide), have a USAA Checking account with a $1,000 direct deposit (of course meet what ever membership requirements may apply to you) and pass credit approval then 2.5% on all purchases. Cash Back Card. If approved for a CL of $5k it will be a Visa Signature Product if approved for less it is suppose to be a Platinum Visa Product. Rewards are the same so only the Visa Signature part as it relates pretty much to travel is missing from the Platinum. No other requirements. Note, if you do not have a direct deposit of $1,000 the rewards rate drops to 1.5% until you do have a direct deposit.

An ice storm!?! be careful out there. the worst of our winter weather this year about a week of 40-50 degree weather, then right back up to high 70s and clear skies lol i'm not sure i can really remember what a real winter is like anymore. we're sending you sun-baked thoughts from Tampa! be safe!

In Florida you can have hurricanes Smiley Sad Note, I live in Minnesota and the only worse places I can think of are the Russian Siberia, Alaska and the Antartic.

true. i moved here in 2005 and we've only had 2 hurricanes. i'm sure you've had quite a few more ice storms than 2 in 10 years. stay worm my-fico'ers!

Thanks you guys , they made a big fuss about it all over the news , it was not as bad as they made it out to be . We didn't lose power so I'm fine with the ice lol, I would take hurricanes over tornadoes any day , atleast with hurricanes you have plenty of warning 😕 I live in Jacksonville FL for 5 years and I miss it alot
