Per USAA Fakos, I'm at 644 (EX), 644 (EQ) and 663 (TU). I would like to apply for another card, hoping to get a higher limit. My highest so far is my new Chase Freedom at $1000 cl.
Any ideas which card gives me my best chances? I do have a lot of inquiries resulting from auto shopping in january (plus a few impulsive apps)
Thanks
USAA isn't exactly liberal with their credit to begin with..
Are you a full or limited member? That has a significant impact on your approval odds.
And your auto inquiries will most likely all be counted as one for scoring purposes as long as they're within a short timeframe.
Yes, I am a full member. I understand what you mean, I'm just not sure if any of the cards had more rigid guidelines than the others.
USAA will pull EQ so do you know what your real EQ fico score is?
I got there World Mastercard with a EQ 675. They did tell me when I app'd that they have another card with a lower limit that I might also qualify for if I wasn't approved for the World Mastercard. But, I got the World Mastercard with 4000.00 limit. My daughter got they're Visa, she's 22 yrs. old. I don't know what her scores were, but she only had one other credit card at the time with a 500.00 limit (citi). They gave her 3000.00 limit. I think If your a full member the score requirements are much less.
Good Luck...let us know how it goes!
I have two of their credit card the World Master Card and the Platinum Visa and they pull EQ and I can tell you that they dont like collections but they were generous with the CLI 9K and 10.5K respectively. I am a full member. The USAA Mastercard with no frills would probably be your best bet
Looking outside of USAA I think it would have been the Kardashian card since it would go in anyone's wallet.
Seriously, I have no experience with USAA but many banks will offer you another of their products if you don't qualify for the one you apply for and they may state that in their application process.
