I have the USAA World M/C and AMEX. Not sure what my score was when I was approved for the M/C but the AMEX showed a EQ score of 646 if that helps.
@suebee123 wrote:I got there World Mastercard with a EQ 675. They did tell me when I app'd that they have another card with a lower limit that I might also qualify for if I wasn't approved for the World Mastercard. But, I got the World Mastercard with 4000.00 limit. My daughter got they're Visa, she's 22 yrs. old. I don't know what her scores were, but she only had one other credit card at the time with a 500.00 limit (citi). They gave her 3000.00 limit. I think If your a full member the score requirements are much less.
+1
I don't fully know what products qualify for the counter-offered USAA Classic card (it's unsecured, search this forum for it, circa 3-4 weeks ago) but it's an offer they will make to full members with marginal unsecured credit profiles... it's the one I'm hoping to obtain at the end of the year.
I went with impulse last night and applied. I was approved for the Rate Advantage Mastercard and Platinum Mastercard. I applied for the rate advantage first and with the surprise of the approval impulsive applied for world mastercard. I received the platinum instead. Both have $2k limits. I'm still pleased. I've come a long way in the past year. With some age on my inquiries, I hope to be eliigible for CLI's.
Yay! Congrats. I have read that you can apply for a cli every 6 mos. Will be a hard pull, and you can ask for double your cl. So, you can ask them to raise it to 4000.00 after 6 mos. I am waiting till July to ask for my first cli. They are awesome...love USAA!
Thanks! Looking forward to that. And by that time I won't have the nailbiting "fear" of a hard pull. If I can't get an old paid collection from First Premier removed, my CRs will be clean!
I have two of their cards.
The AMEX Rewards and a regular platinum -- CL $4k and $1k respectively.
What is the difference from being a member and a full member of USAA? I have my auto insurance through them and a life insurance policy.
I think to be a "full member" you must have served in the military or have become a member through a family member who was in the military. Anyone else can join but they are "limited" members.

+1 Roger that! Once you get in with USAA you will soon find out that you don't need other credit cards.
+1...I agree...LOVE USAA!
