I know I recently read about a USAA closure for account being dormant . I thought well I had better check . I noticed my accounts listed were only the visa signature and the Amex card, my other card missing .
I jumped in chat and asked they said I was sent notice and it was in my documents online . I honestly don't remember getting anything or I probably assumed it was my savings or checking statements (very low funds in both) and with my documents they really send so many with this disclosure and that however this is totally on me 💯.closed for non use.
So they closed my on account 20K and decreased my visa signature from 20K to 16801.00 what kind of number is that 🙄 I didn't notice the slash until after the chat session .
Funny still can't find either doc for the closure or for the credit slash .
Well that sucks. Plus 84% of your credit line is kinda random.
Thanks for the DP's
Just curious.
How long sense last use ?

Honestly I don't even remember well over 2 years lol
Sorry to hear of your USAA dormant account closure, @Jnbmom.
That sounds eerily similar to >my experience I had posted about.<
Like you, I "missed" the notification since I also thought it was some generic policy notification change or a statement. I had set it aside to open later; as you said, 100% on me. I check my accounts regularly online, so those paper statements are just for records.
With two of us posting about this, it sounds like USAA is doing some "housekeeping," perhaps due to concerns over economic conditions.
Thanks I knew I read this very recently , sorry about your loss as well
Sorry to hear about this... I just checked, and one of my USAA Visa cards hasn't been used since December 2021.
I guess it's time for a small Amazon gift card reload. It might not help at all, but at least it's something. If they close the card that's OK, too, but the account has been opened since 2015 and I'd like to keep it around for the age if possible. It also (very) occasionally has a decent BT offer, which can come in handy.
