USAA declined, it's a sad day but Barclay came to the rescue

Have read many times here that the best bet would be wait for at least 6 months since you open accounts with them plus less inquiries. I just been with them for 4 months and had 10 inquiries this year, pulled the trigger and ofcourse got shot down in miliseconds.

Feeling so sad, I went to priceline and applied -- instant approved for 1900 CL Smiley Tongue

Just need to vent out!!!

Thanks for reading guys

Which USAA card did you apply for? Some might be harder to get than others. Oh well, your time will come.

But now, you've got Shatner in your wallet! Carry it with pride!

Dunno if I would be brave enough to use anything sporting a picture of "The Shat" Smiley Very Happy

Re: USAA declined, it's a sad day but Barclay came to the rescue

Since I'm a not a full member so the only thing I saw and applied was the regular non rewards platinum MC. The only reason I wanted to apply for the USAA card so bad is because of all the good things I've read in this board. Other than that, I knew I could never got any rewards card from them due to the fact I'm a non-military or not full member.

The Priceline from Barclay was a rewards visa card.

You can apply for one of their affiliate cards and you will get rewards. The USAA rewards is automatically atached to those particular cards.

Thanks for the tip Barbara! Where could I find one of their affiliate cards? It would be useful to save the reference for the next time when I will pull the trigger once again.

Just type "affiliate" into the search engine on the site, it will be your first choice under "USAA Military Affiliate Cards". You don't have to be a member of those organizations to apply (and be approved) for the cards. Congrats on Barclays, btw. I don't care what anyone says I like them and I think their customer service is excellent. Smiley Happy
