@pizza1 wrote:ok..long story short they got burned in my BK for around $7k. I also have my insurance with them, and have since 1991.
Anyway..Im blacklisted from credit products from them for 7 yrs from discharge date, (thats their internal thing), after 7 years, all my past credit info is deleted from their system, and I can reapply for a card, WHICH I WILL, LOL...
Anyways, as part of my punishment for burning them, Im ONLY allowed "mobil access" online, and not the full online deal because it has credit offers and products on it that I cant have right now. Im also not allowed to pay my bills via mobil app, again my punishment, and have been thru my own bank with online banking.
Tonight I call them up to test the waters....Just non-chalantly said, "Id like to pay my bill tonight"...she says, sure! How would you like to pay? I said, My Visa, heres my number.....and SHE TOOK IT NO PROBLEM!!! Never said one word that I couldnt , and my account is flagged for BK on their end too.
so, Im excited because they WILL take a CC payment over the phone, just not online...so strange...
one more thing I can now put on my CC towards my 2nd spend bonus
Doesn't seem to make sense....Why wouldn't they just deny you credit products on application instead?
USAA is a very vengeful and hateful bird lol dare not cross them or feel their wrath! They are known to lock out those who are late with payments, default on loans, and CC products. They say they are military and family friendly but only until a deployment causes you to miss a few payments lol
oh believe me Zora...I feel their wrath in the form of a "mobil access", that doesnt do {Mod cut} LOL...
at Marine...
At least I put the ****** in the word, and not the word itself.. Your allowed to do that, I see it all the time!![]()

it is, lol...so i will continue to call in every month and pay my bill with my CC till 2020.
in 2020...all gloves are off! I would have had my insurance with them for 29 years, and paying my bill every month with a CC (lol), for the last 5yrs. I will app for a CC with them again,
Why not pay the whole term in advance every 6 mos.
Im showing monthly usage on my cards, thats why...
Not by paying before statement cut.
lol...Im being SUPER watched right now by everyone, so Ive got ot keep it clean for the next 6 months, then I should be out of the woods, and can maybe let 2 cards report a small balance
lol
The only thing that looks worse than super high utilization combined with minimum payments is zero "apparent" utilization by way of paying before statement cut. To the untrained eye it can look like credit hoarding.
I am credit hoarding...LOL!!!
Hey last moth by accident, both my new cap one cards reported with balances..and one of those balances was like $1800!..Im letting Barclays post! Those suckers are PIF every other day, LOL!!!
Credit hoarding is also an undesirable behaviour.
so I should let a few cards report small balances, ? To keeo my 1% reporting, I can let no more than $1300 report.
Utilization only matters if you plan to keep applying. Just sayin'
I dont have plans at all to app for 2 yrs..But I know im being watched, and I want them to see that, yea I got alot of cards recently and Im not maxxing them out, and still keeping a low utilzation. All they have to do its look on an account and itll show what what high balance for that month was, and a 0 bal currently. Which in translation...uses card but PIF...
It is also important to let some larger balances report every so often and pay them immediately after report date. It shows you can handle large amounts of credit in a positive way. Once you can do that and take advantage of the grace periods it'll come as second nature. One does not have to use credit as "Debit with benefits" to reap it's full potential.

I guess Im just really scared to let big balances report, for fear that itll trigger something with someone, and they might be like.....Well, last month she only let 100 report, this month 1300...mmmmm,. Maybe Im overthinking it, but I always want to look as good as possible if they ever sp me to see what im doing. Maybe Ill "work my way up to it", lol...maybe let a couple cards report , and see what happens, then work my way up to letting 2% or 3% report..

Im not sure then what you meant by your computer/analyst comment...ugh, Im blond, LOL...
yes, USAA is so weird!! thats been covered, LOL![]()
Their insurance is incredible. Their credit products are like spinning a wheel to determine the answer...
That being said, on the topic of your off-topic convo, I let large balances report all the time, I have never had an issue. I just dont like the hassle of playing around to pay before the statement cuts. I wouldnt worry about it, Pizza!
