I have no doubt that the AR nerf is coming though based on what they did to the Smarthly either cause losing money on the AR or to save face to the bad choice of the Smarthy card or both.
Cash+ had a minor nerf earlier this year when Real-Time-Rewards devalued to less than 1 cent per point. Statement credits still value at 1cpp, but with a $25 minimum redemption. Considering that Altitude Go and Connect already amended their statement credits to less than 1cpp (unless deposited into a US Bank account), I can envision that restriction filtering its way down to Cash+ at some point.
Did no first part as redeem to us bank checking account set up just for rewards. Thanks for infromation

Some of us who have been around here for a while also know it as SOCKS bank, although I'm starting to think that a vowel change might be apropos.
Yea, I think I was on-boarding here at the period of the SOCKS thing.
This is super disappointing. Add in the probable upcoming Bilt nerf when they roll out the new options and the meat of my lineup has all but imploded in the matter of a couple of weeks.
I may be taking my talents (and my $) to BoA for those sweet, sweet Premium Rewards. I generally don't have the flexibilty to plan travel around award availability so having the cash back setup with the USBAR has been nice and the PR/PRE seems to be the next best option for me.
OK, now that I have that out of my system I have some thinking to do. ![]()
Assuming the report is correct - and I'm inclined to believe it is - the card will be of no use to me under the new terms. Ironically, my AF just posted a few days ago, so I'm on the clock if I want to PC to something else and get the AF refunded.

Silver lining: I now have 3%/4%/5% cards for nearly every category anyway, so I'll no longer have to worry about if Apple Pay is accepted. This was also the only card I have (had?) to worry about rewards accumulating to a large threshold in order to redeem in a meaningful way.
Right now I'm leaning towards waiting until the change then doing a PC to an Altitude Connect. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

@crystal626 wrote:Man US Bank is on a roll with the nerfs. What's next, Altitude Go losing 4% dining?
Yeah but a lot of us still have free Gold checking accounts so that wasn't a big deal. I dunno, I think I might close this card and use my Verizon VISA instead. Don't really trust Us Bank anymore and the $25 minimum is annoying as hell anyway.
I'm also running some spreadsheet scenarios with the rumored USBAR nerfs. I think I would wind up closing both the AR and my Cash+ and just shut down my relationship with US Bank. Too much anxiety for the minimal extra rewards.

You may PC them to Altitude Go, instead of closing them all. The Go card receives several BT offers and in case of emergency, you may deposit such BT checks into your checking account. The Cash+ cards do not have such a feature (the BT offers address the balance of another credit card but they do not give BT check).

Thanks for the suggestion, but I already get multiple BT offers in the mail at 0% every month. They all go into the paper shredder.
Also, my US Bank cards are some of my youngest accounts and smallest limits. So, there's no need to keep them alive for age or utilization.
